# How to clip Twitch streams automatically

This is a way to clip a stream you already saved. Cutshed does not log into Twitch, Kick, or YouTube, and it does not fetch a stream URL. The automatic pass scores loudness in the browser. A vision model scores frames only when that option is on, and that is when credits are spent.
Twitch publishes the download steps at https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/video-on-demand . The menus below follow that article. A Kick or YouTube broadcast is the file that service already lets you save. This page does not invent those menus.
## Steps
- Save a VOD you are allowed to use Turn on Store Past Broadcasts in Twitch Stream settings before the stream you want to keep. Twitch's help says that storage is off until you do. The same article says Partners, Prime, and Turbo past broadcasts are kept 60 days, Affiliates 14 days, and other broadcasters 7 days. Download before that window closes. In the Creator Dashboard, open Content, then Video Producer. Open the three-dot menu on that video and choose Download. Twitch does not offer a bulk download, and a muted VOD stays muted. A long file can take a while to start. Record locally while you are live if you want a file that does not depend on that window.
- Find highlights automatically Open Stream Clipper and drop an MP4, MOV, or WebM you already have. The page does not fetch a Twitch, Kick, or YouTube URL. Loudness scoring runs in the browser, weights a yell or a laugh after silence, and cuts 15, 30, or 60 second windows. That pass is free and does not upload the file. Credits are spent only when vision scoring is on. A file over 1.5 GB, or longer than 3 hours, is refused. A file over 400 MB shows a warning first.
- Crop to a vertical frame Stream Clipper exports 720 by 1280. Drag a box around the face for a facecam stack, or choose center crop. Both are 9:16 for TikTok, Shorts, and Reels. Video crop is a separate centered 9:16 cut for a clip you already exported. It cannot follow a face. A face at the edge leaves the frame.
- Add subtitles and shrink the file Stream Clipper can burn bold captions and include an SRT. Whisper runs in the browser when it can. Otherwise the title is paced across the clip. Subtitles writes an SRT or VTT from the words and does not upload the media. Video compressor re-encodes toward a size you pick, still on this device. Clip sound effects mixes original whooshes and hits on the cuts and does not spend credits.
- Export one clip or a week Download the Stream Clipper ZIP for the shorts you kept. Week of Shorts plans 7 to 14 vertical clips, a calendar, titles, hooks, hashtags, a ZIP, and a CSV from one VOD. Planning from the sound is free. Looking at the picture spends credits, at the same price as the other clippers.
## What this does not do
Cutshed is not affiliated with Twitch, Kick, or YouTube, and it does not use their logos. It will not pull a VOD from a URL.
The free pass is loudness, not a promise that every joke is the best moment. A quiet VOD returns only the spikes it has. Vision scoring is optional and spends credits.
