Best Overall SD Card for Video
SANDISK 128GB Extreme PRO SD Memory Card

SANDISK 128GB Extreme PRO SD Memory Card

Buy on Amazon: SANDISK 128GB Extreme PRO SD Memory Card

A camera card is the place the footage lives before it ever reaches an editor. These three listings are 128GB SD cards. The speeds are the numbers in the Amazon title or bullets. This page did not run a write test.

A full card is a big file. The Video compressor shrinks a copy after you have backed it up, and the Video splitter cuts a long clip into parts that are easier to move. Studio does not read the card. It generates a new clip.

Read the speed class, then the write number

All three titles or bullets include V30, which is the video speed class printed on the listing, and UHS-I. The write figures the pages state are up to 90MB/s for the SanDisk title, up to 120MB/s for the Lexar bullets, and 130MB/s for the Samsung bullets. Those are claims on the listings, not a Cutshed benchmark.

Offload the card before you compress. The Video compressor makes a smaller copy. It does not replace the original on the card.

Do this part free in Cutshed

  • Video compressor

Makes a smaller MP4 after the footage is off the card.

  • Video splitter

Splits a long camera clip into equal parts.

  • Studio

Generates footage from a prompt. It is not a place to store or offload a card.

FAQ

Did you test the write speeds?

No. The SanDisk figure is from the listing title. The Lexar and Samsung figures are from their bullets. Open the Amazon page if you need the current label.

Are these the only capacities?

Each pick here is the 128GB listing. The Samsung bullets also name 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB as part of that card family. The other two titles we saved are 128GB.

Why is the SanDisk card missing feature bullets?

The bullets returned with that page were checkout and return lines, not card specs. The guide uses the product title instead of inventing a bullet.

Specs in this guide are the Amazon listing title and bullets saved in the product file. This page does not add measurements, sample rates, or prices that were not written there.
